Are you looking to buy a new golf cart? Whether it’s for personal use or for your business, there are a lot of things to consider when making this decision. In this blog post I’ll help you figure out what features are most important to you.
How many people are you going to be carrying?
How much storage space do you need?
What kind of cargo will you be hauling around with the golf cart, and how much weight can it safely handle?
First and foremost: how many people are going to be riding in it? If you’re only taking one person with you on the course, then this may not be as big of an issue for you. But if multiple members of your group plan on hitting the greens together–or if anyone wants to bring along family members or friends–then it’s important that they have room enough for everyone who’s coming along.
As always with things involving safety, it’s best not to exceed maximum capacity limits set by manufacturers (and there are often multiple weight capacities). This can help prevent accidents from occurring while driving around in your new ride!
The next thing to consider is how much storage space you need. If you’re just going to be carting around some water bottles, a couple of towels and maybe an extra pair of shoes or two, then this might not be as important to you. But if you plan on taking along some snacks and drinks or even bringing along your clubs (if they fit), then it’s worth looking at carts with more storage options.
Some carts come with coolers built into them–but keep in mind that these aren’t meant for keeping things cold for long periods of time (and can actually overheat). They’re great for short trips where keeping things cool isn’t as important as having easy access to them once they’ve been opened up at the course itself!
Always consider the safety features. You’ll want to make sure that it has headlights, taillights and turn signals as well as seat belts for everyone riding in the cart if you are planning to drive it on the road.
The second thing to consider is battery life. If you plan on using your golf cart regularly or if you live in an area where there are steep hills or other obstacles that may require more power than usual (like driving over sand), then it could be helpful if your vehicle had an extra strong battery pack so that it can last longer before needing recharged again.
The third thing worth considering when choosing between different models is storage space–how much room does each model offer for storing items like clubs?
The most common battery for golf carts is the lead acid, or “wet cell,” type. This type of battery can be mounted in a variety of locations on a golf cart: under the seat, behind the seat and even under the hood (though this is not recommended).
Lead acid batteries are also known as “flooded” or “wet” because they have liquid electrolyte inside them that needs to be checked periodically. This means that you must keep track of how much water you add to your battery so that it remains full at all times; otherwise, your car won’t run correctly! The good news is that most new golf carts come with built-in hydrometers so you don’t have to worry about guessing how much fluid is needed every time.
Another option available today is lithium ion batteries which are lighter than lead acid models but have shorter lifespans–about three years compared with seven years for traditional versions–and require more maintenance such as charging regularly (every month) instead of just once per year like other types do.
Consider a cart with a built-in battery charger.
Carts that have an onboard battery charger are becoming more common, and for good reason: it’s important to be able to charge your battery while you’re on the course, but it’s also useful for charging your battery at home. If you live in an area where temperatures drop below freezing during winter months, having an on-board charger can prevent damage to both your vehicle and its components by keeping them warm enough for proper functioning year round.
There are a number of things to consider when buying a new golf cart. One of the most important is whether or not it comes with a warranty. A warranty means that if something goes wrong with your vehicle, it will be fixed at no cost to you. The length and scope of this coverage varies from manufacturer to manufacturer (and even model-to-model), but some general guidelines apply:
The warranty should cover all parts and labor for at least one year after purchase.
You should also make sure that battery replacement is included in this time period–some companies only offer limited coverage on batteries during this period because they know that batteries can go bad quickly due to frequent use during hot summer months or cold winter days when they’re stored outside on concrete floors instead of being stored inside an insulated garage where they’d last longer under normal conditions.* Warranty periods vary by manufacturer; some offer lifetime warranties while others don’t provide anything beyond three years’ worth of protection against defects in materials used during manufacturing process.* Some manufacturers may offer additional insurance options through third parties like Progressive Insurance Company which provide additional benefits such as collision coverage against damage caused by other vehicles while operating yours along public roads (but not private property).
When you go to buy a golf cart, don’t just think about the short term. Think about what your goals are and how far you want to go with this purchase. Do you want something that’s fast? Do you need it to be able to go on rough terrain? Are there any specific features or accessories that would make your life easier or more fun?
